This past saturday I got together with some friends and headed out to Claremont California to Scripps College to see the 69th Ceramic Annual. Always a fun event populated with interesting work and people. The show was curated by Virginia Scotchie. Some of us went to her lecture prior to the opening to get her insights. The show is titled De-Natured and is "an exhibition that presents ceramic artists who enlist the use of change to explore the natural given qualities of familiar objects of choice". Do make a point of checking out the show if in the area.
